Aluminum producer and former Dow component Alcoa Inc. (NYSE:AA) is slated to unofficially kick off fourth-quarter earnings season after the close of trading on Thursday. The company is expected to report fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of 5 cents per share on revenue of $5.43 billion, according to analysts polled by Reuters. The company posted a profit of 21 cents a share on revenue of $5.90 billion in the year-ago period.
